I graduated from Lynden Christian High School and continued my education at Northwestern College, Iowa. I have Educational Leadership degrees from Cal State Fullerton (Master’s degree) and the University of Southern California (Educational Doctorate).   

  From 1989 to 2010, I worked at Valley Christian Cerritos, CA as a high school teacher and administrator until returning to Lynden Christian in 2010 as the high school principal.   

  After three years working outside of Christian education, I am thrilled to be back in the classroom as a history teacher, where I combine my passion for history and love of teaching to help students understand their unique place in God’s plan for our world.   

I am married to Kelly, who teaches math at the high school and have three adult children, Kelsey, Clayton (LC class of 2014), and Colin (LC class of 2018). We are members of First Reformed Church.
