Born and raised in rural South Dakota, I am the oldest of six children. I was transplanted with my family to Lynden at age 18. I have been immersed in Christian education from kindergarten through college. I attended Dordt College and graduated in 1996 with a degree in English – Secondary Education. I taught 7th and 8th grade at Ebenezer Christian School for five years, then became mom to twins in 2002.
I love learning and helping others learn, and I consider it a privilege to be a part of the Lynden Christian community as a Discovery therapist and as Inclusion Specialist.
I am married to Mike, an engineer at Oxbo Corporation. Our two children, Emma and Hendrick, graduated from LC in 2021 and are attending college. We are members of Sonlight Community Church in Lynden. On our small acreage we raise sheep and chickens and small menagerie of pets, which give us plenty to do in our spare time!
