I have been privileged to serve the Lord in my role at LC since the 2020-21 school year and continue to be impressed by its heritage and supportive school community. I enjoy the dynamics of a challenging and supportive learning environment in which students wrestle with essential questions, explore the beauty and complexity of God’s creation, and develop skills for lifelong ministry and service. I love seeing students grow in their knowledge, faith, and love for our Lord as they learn to place Him at the center of their identity, relationships, thoughts, and actions.
I was born in Minnesota and raised in South Dakota by parents who introduced me to the Lord and nurtured my young faith. I met my lovely wife, Lulu, while studying history at Wheaton College. We married and moved to Covenant College (GA), where I earned credits toward teaching certification. Later, I earned an MEd in educational leadership at Augusta University while teaching history. Lulu and I raised three sons and have been blessed to see the Lord’s work in their lives; we enjoy spending time with them, especially our recent grandchildren. I also enjoy following politics, hiking, and making pottery at the Jansen Art Center.
We attend Wiser Lake Chapel and continue to grow in the Lord through its ministry and fellowship.
